With a view to hastening the financial sector’s adoption of quantum computing in India, Qkrishi IIIT Kottayam have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to conduct research in quantum finance.

The interdisciplinary team comprising of faculty from Physics,  Chemistry, Mathematics, Management, and Engineering will focus on research in areas such as Finance, Drug Discovery, Logistics  Optimisation, Automobile, and Machine Learning. 

Industry Leaders will set the agenda for education and research in the newly formed SRMIST Qkrishi Centre of Excellence in Quantum Information and Computing (SQ-QuIC)

The award recognizes Qkrishi as a Fintech Entity under IFSCA’s framework  to develop QFinBox (Quantum Finance Sandbox) for testing and  benchmarking quantum solutions for adoption by the finance industry.

GIFT-IFSC granted Authorisation Certificates to five FinTech firms including Qkrishi Quantum  Pvt Ltd. The fintech firm will bring operations in areas and sectors like deep-tech quantum-based algorithms.

Qkrishi wants people to get ready for the quantum era. With a focus on building quantum technology with a combination of research and skilling, the team is working on an algorithm that will lead to Quantum  Advantage.
